Secondary Education at RIS
Basic general education covers grades 5-9 and represents the second stage of general education in Russia. Its main goal is to create conditions for the development and formation of the student's personality and to foster their inclinations and interests. At this stage, students learn to organize their activities, set and achieve goals, and interact both in and outside of the learning process.

Grade 5: Adaptation to Middle School
The transition from primary to middle school involves significant changes. The main task of grade 5 is to help students adapt to new requirements and subjects.

Grade 6: Deepening Knowledge
In grade 6, students continue to expand their knowledge, with an emphasis on independent work and analysis.

Grade 7: Immersion in Subject Areas

Grade 7 is a stage where students begin to immerse themselves more seriously in the subjects they study, mastering scientific research methods and project work.

  • Mastery of complex concepts in physics, chemistry, and biology

  • Completion of first independent projects and research
  • Development of teamwork skills and group discussions

Grade 8: Preparation for Final Certification
In grade 8, students begin to prepare for final certification, deepening their knowledge in core subjects. Special attention is given to self-organization and academic discipline.

  • In-depth study of mathematics, natural and humanities sciences

  • Formation of research and data processing skills
  • Preparation for state exams and tests

Grade 9: Final Certification and Future Direction
Grade 9 completes the stage of basic general education, and the main task is to successfully pass the state final certification (GIA).

    An important part of the programme is the combination of lessons with extracurricular activities, which contributes to the all-round development of students.

    Students participate in various clubs, sections and circles, and are involved in project and research activities, which contributes to the development of their social and creative potential.
  • Careers guidance
    In the course of training, work is carried out on professional orientation, which helps students to decide on their future profession and the direction of their educational activities.
  • Participation in research activities
    Include students in research projects, school studies and creative assignments to develop research skills and the ability to work with a variety of sources of information.
  • Exams and test preparation
    To provide students with the necessary preparation for final examinations, such as the Main State Examination, as well as assistance in adapting to examination requirements.
