Steps of General Education in Russia
In Russia, the system of general education is divided into several levels, each of which has its own goals and peculiarities.
- Grades: 1-4
- Purpose: Basic literacy, mathematical skills, socialisation, cognitive development and basic learning skills.
- Grades: 5-9
- Purpose: In-depth study of subjects, development of analytical thinking, formation of personal and study skills, preparation for the choice of profile study.
- Grades: 10-11
- Purpose: Specialised in-depth study of subjects, preparation for exams (USE), professional orientation, development of critical thinking and research skills.
