Outstanding Achievements of Russian International School Graduates
Outstanding results are never accidental. They are the natural outcome of high academic standards, dedicated teachers, an individual approach to every student, and years of consistent work.
This is exactly what the Russian International School Class of 2026 has achieved.
This year, 64% of RIS graduates were awarded the Russian state medal “For Special Achievement in Learning”, one of the country’s highest distinctions for academic excellence at school level.
Among them, 45% of graduates received First Class medals, while a further 18% were awarded Second Class medals. Nearly one in two RIS graduates completed school with a gold medal, and almost two thirds of the graduating class received state recognition for outstanding academic achievement.
These results are not only a source of great pride for our students, but also a reflection of the effectiveness of the Russian International School educational model — one built on high academic expectations, personalised student support, and the consistent development of each student’s potential.
The “For Special Achievement in Learning” Medal — Recognition of Academic Excellence
The medal “For Special Achievement in Learning” is a state distinction awarded to graduates of Russian schools who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement.
To receive the medal, students must maintain consistently high academic performance, successfully complete the school curriculum, and confirm their level of knowledge through strong results in the Unified State Examination (EGE).
First Class Medal
The First Class medal “For Special Achievement in Learning” is awarded to graduates who complete their studies with the highest final marks across all subjects in the curriculum and confirm their academic performance with high EGE results.
The RIS Class of 2026 earned five First Class — or gold — medals.
This exceptional result reflects the high level of academic preparation achieved by our students, as well as the many years of collaboration between teachers, students and their families.
Second Class Medal
The Second Class medal “For Special Achievement in Learning” is awarded to graduates who have no more than two final marks below the highest grade and who successfully confirm their academic performance through the Unified State Examination.
This year, two RIS graduates received Second Class — or silver — medals, demonstrating a strong level of academic preparation, perseverance and commitment to achieving ambitious educational goals.
