Teachers’ Day at RIS: Senior Students Take the Lead

🌸 On behalf of Russian International School, we congratulate all teachers on World Teachers’ Day! 🌸

To mark this important occasion, the school held a Self-Governance Day. Senior students took on the role of teachers, preparing materials for both the Russian and international programs, and they carried out this task brilliantly. These were not formal lessons, but truly engaging classes filled with interest, creativity, and lively interaction.

✨ Such initiatives not only highlight the value of the teaching profession but also strengthen the school community and foster respect and understanding between generations of students. Moreover, they help high school students better absorb knowledge: by explaining material to others, we learn it more deeply ourselves.

At RIS, such practices take place not only once a year. One of our key projects is Mentorship & Coaching, where senior students become mentors for the younger ones, helping them learn and develop in an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual support. This approach nurtures responsibility, leadership, and collaboration — values that we believe form the foundation of education in the 21st century.
